Here Are Just A Few Bass Fishing Tips
Fish slow and be patient, the fish needs a chance to see the bait.
When the bite from the fish seems to slow you should also slow. Work carefully until the fish is located.
It is important to keep track of the weather. Storms can quickly sneak up on you here in Central Florida, but don’t worry, Captain Marks has you covered.
Be alert and watchful, often times bass give up their presence by swimming near the surface, moving through vegetation, and even fleeing from the bait.
Make sure you have a sharp hook and a strong knot.
If you are going to be using a small hook, make sure you tighten the slack quicker, with the rod and reel.
When going around stumps, gravel, rocks, and other hard obstacles, watch your bait carefully, the line can fray easily due to these obstructions.
Bass fish respond to motion and an erratic retrieve as long as the lure is in front of the fish.
Dark colored bait is better then brightly colored bait.
Crank baits are usually changed based on the weather. Small baits are better in cooler temperatures, while large crank baits are good for warmer weather.
If you see a lot of movement in the water due to predators going after prey, you may want to try a fast moving crank bait.
