Trophy Largemouth Bass here in Orlando and Kissimmee are on every anglers list of great fishing spots, if not the best. Central Florida may be home to the World’s most renowned theme parks, such as Disney World, and resorts, but the bass fishing is phenomenal!

As the temperatures start to cool down in Orlando, the days become shorter, the largemouth bass are ready to meet their angler. Since largemouth bass are a predator fish species, you can find them where the baitfish are.

Baitfish can be found where there is a lot of oxygen in the water, which in summer is not under direct sunlight and deeper waters. But in the Fall, the water temperatures become lower and the shallow areas become more rich in oxygen. As the baitfish move to the more shallower waters, so do the bass

In the Fall bass tends to favor shad, crawfish, or whatever is most prevalent in the waters. The best way to catch bass is to use this form of creature, either live or artificial. In the Fall, bass feed heavily before the winter and spawning months

Different Lakes in Central Florida Take Different Tactics to Catch Trophy Bass

Each lake has different unique characteristics, temperature, and depths. This is where the knowledge and experience from an experienced bass fishing charter guide, such as Captain Marks comes in very handy. When fishing shallow areas of the lake, look on the surface for fish eating. The shallow areas are great in Fall for bass fish, they are more actively looking for food. Using a football jig, shallow square bill, or any shad looking Swimbait is often effective.

When fishing in mid-depth areas, constant motion with a crank bait is very effective. Try not to drag the bait, but cover a lot of water. The water tends to be clearer in the Fall so make sure your presentation looks tidy.
